An experienced paediatric occupational therapist with a degree in Occupational Therapy, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You have experience working within a Local Authority and possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation.
What the Job Involves
The job requires assessing the needs of children with disabilities, providing and reviewing specialist equipment and adaptations to promote independence. Responsibilities include determining the needs of children and young people, arranging for equipment or minor adaptations, advising families on major adaptations, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves joint working with other professionals and agencies, attending meetings, and making necessary referrals. Based in the Children with Disabilities Team in Wokingham Borough Council, this full-time role involves hybrid working, including lone home visits.
