You are an experienced social worker with a professional qualification in social work, registered with the Health & Care Professions Council. You have extensive experience in children's social care, particularly in managing complex and challenging cases. You possess in-depth knowledge of social work theories, legislation, statutory regulations, and government guidance relevant to children.
What the job involves
The role involves implementing positive change in complex cases for children, families, and carers using systemic social work methods. You will lead and oversee professional judgments, conduct assessments, devise and implement support plans, and collaborate with partner agencies to ensure the protection and care of children. Responsibilities include managing complex caseloads, preparing court applications and reports, attending case reflections, safeguarding inquiries, and contributing to the resolution of complaints. The role also demands flexibility, involvement in interdisciplinary teams, and upholding equal opportunity and public sector equality duties.
