Who You Are
You are an experienced professional with an HND in a relevant discipline, minimum five years’ experience, or NVQ level 5 in a technical discipline. You have broad knowledge across multiple specialist areas of service and are comfortable using technical skills in your approach to work. You can demonstrate continuous professional development, as well as excellent numeracy and IT skills. Holding an ILM Level 3 and demonstrated organization and interpersonal skills is a must because you will be needed to engage and actively participate with your team while also being capable of independent initiatives.
What the Job Involves
The position of Technical Officer (Level 3) with Flintshire County Council's Streetscene & Transportation Portfolio involves providing support to operational areas to ensure the authority’s compliance and efficiency. You will provide engineering advice, supervise major contract works, conduct site investigations, manage the Facilities of Alltami Depot, oversee inspections of highway structures, prepare and evaluate specifications for works, develop and implement Traffic Management and Engineering schemes, and facilitate the local and national monitoring of the Streetscene and Transportation service provision. Ensuring the respect towards colleagues and adhere to the corporate value of dignity at work is also important.
