Who You Are

We are looking for resilient practitioners who can manage competing demands and prioritise work effectively. Confidence in your decision-making capabilities is key to this role, especially in high-stress situations. You must also possess the capability of carrying out strength based social assessments, determining individual needs, and producing outcome-focused support plans. If you have a specialism with which you'd like to further develop your practice, or a passion for working in a service aiding both children and adults, then your inherent talents and potential growth areas shall be welcomed and supported in our collaboration. We look forward to your establishment and maintenance of positive, professional, and mutually beneficial relationships with our service users and their respective families/carers. Your role will also involve implementing focused interventions to safeguard vulnerable adults, promoting independence and positive outcomes while advocating the use of assistive technology.

What the Job Involves

As a qualified and registered social worker in our All Age Disabilities Service, you will work with service users aged 0-25 providing them a comprehensive and integrated social care pathway. Your valuable experience will come into play when handling the challenging tasks involved in managing complex cases and statutory work required for children as well as adults, encompassing transitions to adulthood, Care Act assessments, Children and Families assessments, court proceedings, and Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) work. Part of your responsibilities will also involve completing carers' assessments to ensure the best possible support for the numerous informal carers within our jurisdiction. Trust-building, safeguarding the youth, and ensuring positive and timely outcomes for service users and their families are pivotal aspects of this role.
